Below is a list of volunteer opportunities. Please read and then choose from the list below all the areas you are able to help with. We can't do this without you and we appreciate your support.
Team Captain - Main adult leader responsible for getting their group of kids to each station, assisting their group at each station, tracking attendance and earned points for their group throughout the week, and encouraging the kids to build excitement and keep them engaged
Assistant Captains - Leaders who will assist the Main Team Leader in getting kids to each station, helping at each station and helping track points for their team
Soccer Station: Head Coach - Plan (with Pastor Jenn's help) & lead the soccer activities and keep the station running smoothly
Soccer Station: Assistant Coaches - Assist the head coach and participate in the activities planned by the Head Coach, help reset between groups of kids and clean up at the end of the night
First-Aid/Nurse - Assist kids and leaders with minor injuries (Band-Aids, ice packs, etc.)
Art Station Leaders - Guide kids through completing a pre-planned and pre-prepared craft or art activity, setting up the space before the first group arrives, cleaning up & resetting between groups, and doing final cleanup of the station at the end of the night
STEM Station Leaders - Guide kids in a time where they will: SHARE, THINK, EXPLAIN & MEDITATE on the Bible story they heard, while also participating in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics activity in a small group format... This will be the station that goes deeper and applies the message of the evening giving children a chance to respond to God's Word
Science Station Leader - Conduct a giant, messy science experiment, preferably in a dramatic fashion while dressed as a mad scientist and partner with the Bible Story Teller at the same station to communicate the main Bible story of the night (both of these roles could be done by one person if needed)
Bible Story Teller - Partner with the Science Station Leader to share the Bible Story in conjunction with the Science Experiment (both of these roles could be done by one person if needed)
Science/Bible Station Assistants - Assist the Science Station Leader with conducting experiments as needed, with cleaning up between groups of kids and resetting, and with crowd control, etc.
Song Leaders - Lead the motions to our songs in the Opening & Closing Rallies - could also lead vocals, but most importantly needs to have high energy and be good at getting the kids engaged and participating - gifted at getting the kids "hyped up"
Game Leaders - High energy individuals who can lead games from the front of the Sanctuary to keep kids engaged during Check-In & Check-Out times in the Sanctuary (i.e. Head, Shoulders, Cup game - choose a few pairs of kids to come to the front and play the game, choose new kids for the next game or next round)
Snack Team - Prepare snacks (prepackaged snacks from the store) for distribution during the Science Experience/Bible Story Station, must pay attention to food allergies
Registration Team - Assist with onsite registration (likely on ipads) for families who did not pre-register for the event
Check-In Team - Greet families, make sure kids are given a wristband for the appropriate age group and directed to the correct seating area in the Sanctuary
Check-Out Team - Call kids for dismissal as parents check them out, distribute any take home materials
Security - Help ensure everyone's safety, be an extra set of eyes and ears and be stationed at key locations
Set Up Team - Setup tables, chairs, etc. prior to the event
Clean Up Team - Final cleanup at the end of the night
Floaters - Walk around to make sure everything is going smoothly, provide assistance as needed
Behind the scenes preparations - making copies of handouts, preparing supplies for activities, stapling packets, miscellaneous preparations, etc.
Running the Cafe for our Parents/Guardians - preparing coffee/tea and cleaning up the space at the end of the night
